Lois H. Kimmell

Age 87, passed into God’s hands peacefully while in her sleep and surrounded by her family on December 23, 2014. Born in Columbia, SC, Lois was 1 of 9 children. She was a dedicated and loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother and will be truly missed. Preceded in death by loving companion James Chapman. Survived by her loving daughter Jeanette Shanor, beloved granddaughters Linda Paschall (Rose), Donna Shanor-Gonzalez, Pam Divalerio, and Elizabeth Andrel, treasured great-grandchildren Ryan and Tyler Gonzalez, Lauren, Joseph, and Isabella Zimka, Dominic and Nikki Scarpelli, brother Noah Haltiwanger, sister Betty Ruff, nephew Bill Harris, and many cherished friends including Sharon Barnett. Lois was a friend to many, but Granny to all who knew and adored her. She loved to go to the casino and play the slot machines. Scratch off tickets would put a smile on her face on any occasion. Granny loved to cook old fashioned home cooked meals. Garage sales were her passion as was fishing and hanging at the lake in her younger days. Lois loved her family and friends and any opportunity to gather with them. Thank you to Alive Hospice for all that they did for Lois Kimmell. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from twelve-thirty in the afternoon until service time at two-thirty. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
