She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Dr. Panagiotis “Takis” Patikas; her parents Dr. Eugene Willard Green and Frances Monteith Green; brother, Dr. Eugene Willard Green Jr; and sister, Miss Nancy Green.
Born on November 20th 1939 in Springfield MO, Louise grew up in Fort Worth TX and Darien CT. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University in 1961. She graduated from Vanderbilt Medical School in 1965, where she also completed her Pediatric residency.
Weezie was known for her love of life and dedication to her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking, travelling, and golf.
She is survived by her son Takis; son Demetri (Lane) of Memphis; daughter-in-law Kimberly Hedges Patikas; grandchildren, Sophie Portera (Will), Carter Patikas, Takis Patikas III, and Mecho Patikas along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday May 14th at 10:30am followed by a service at 11:30am at St. George's Episcopal Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George's Episcopal Church, or to a charity of donor's choice.
