NICKS, LTC Daniel W.( D.W., Dan, Buddy)- Age 73, passed away June 25, 2010. LTC. Nicks is preceded in death by his parents, Dan W. Nicks and Brownie Easley Nicks. He is survived by his son, Lt. Col Jeffrey Nicks (Regina); sister, Sandra King (Richard) and Suzanne Huggins; aunts, Mrs. Percy Miller (Judy) and Mrs. Patty Brietenmoser; cousin, Ginger Baldyga Powell; granddaughter, Rachel Nicks; step-grandson, Wes Bridwell. LTC. Nicks retired from the Army National Guard after 37 plus years. Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Tulip St. United Methodist Church or The American Cancer Society.
