

Lula "Tootsie" Buchli Scheuerman was born April 7, 1932 in Nashville, TN and passed away June 13, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Ed and Claudia Trauernicht; husbands, John Buchli Sr. and Eugene Scheuerman; brother, Paul Trauernicht; and grandson, Jeremy Wilson. Survived by devoted children, John Buchil Jr. (Evelyn), Sandra “K” Wilson (Ronnie) and Diane Hensley (Billy); grandchildren, Carrie Okochi (John), Erin Richey (David), Adam Hensley (Kirstie), Dustin Hensley (Karissa) and Joseph Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lula was a lifelong and active member of Monroe Street United Methodist Church where she served as choir director for many years, loved her Church and Church family. Lula loved music and singing, loved to travel and had a passion for discovering her roots to help explain why she and her family were who they were and why they believed in the things that were important to her. Most of all, Lula loved people. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home for visitation from eleven to two o’clock and from four to eight o’clock in the evening. A celebration of Lula’s life will be held at Monroe Street United Methodist Church, 700 Monroe Street, Nashville, TN 37207, on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at one o’clock in the afternoon with visitation two hours prior. Revered Rosemary Brown will officiate. Interment to follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Monroe Street UMC Renovation Fund, 700 Monroe St., Nashville, TN 37207, in memory of Lula Scheuerman.
