Marilyn was born August 17, 1947 to William Huff and Musetta Secrest Huff in Nashville, Tennessee. She always loved helping children. For many years, she was a volunteer teacher where she helped children learn to read and write. As her children and grandchildren grew, she enjoyed watching them participate in sports. She also loved to travel.
Marilyn is predeceased by her parents as well as a son, Gregory L. Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Dietz; her sons Billy E. Jenkins and Patrick Jenkins; Siblings, Mary K. Huff, David H. Huff, and John Secrest; Grandchildren, Kaitlin N Jenkins, Christopher L. Jenkins, and Billy E. Jenkins, Jr.; and a great grandchild, Rosemary Jenkins.
A gathering of family and friends for Marilyn will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Olivet Funeral Home & Cemetery, 1101 LEBANON PIKE, NASHVILLE, TN 37210, followed by a celebration of life service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
