Marina Ospina Baldwin passed away on October 19, 2020 in Hermitage, Tennessee. She was born in Guasca, Colombia to Ramón Amadeo and Verónica Ospina on February 5, 1936. She married Mervin Robert Baldwin on December 21, 1970. She is survived by her daughter, Gerlinda Roland (David) of Brentwood, TN; a granddaughter, Alexandria Roland of Nashville, TN; and her sisters Isabel Sherrill (John) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Julia de Duran of Bogotá, Colombia; in addition to two nieces and several grand-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1976.
Marina was always full of joy and laughter and her home was open to both friends and family round the clock. Some of the lessons she taught us by example were to stand up for yourself, be strong mentally, always LAUGH, and don’t ever hold on to anger, instead always forgive, forget, and move on. Live your life to the fullest and don’t let anything slow you down. Our feisty “zancudito” is up there dancing up a storm!
Visitation will be held on October 23, 2020 at 10 am at Church of the Holy Rosary, 192 Graylynn Drive, Nashville, TN. Funeral mass to follow at 11 am with Father Dan Steiner officiating.
