Marvin Edward Williams, age 86, passed away June 26, 2014. Mr. Williams was born on February 20, 1928 in Alexandria, TN, son of the late Jess K. and Jessie N. Williams. Mr.Williams is preceded in death by a brother, Dibbrell Williams; sister, Ruby Williams Kyle; and grandson, Ronald Edward “Eddie” Maynard. Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Dean Williams; daughters, Sandra Maynard, Teresa (Tim) Beard and Jackie (Joel) Beckham; grandchildren, Stephanie (William) Holt, Brittney (Scott) Masters, Lindsey (Adam) Greeno, Jackson Beckham, Connor Beckham; great-grandson, Justin (Rhoda) Anderson; great-great granddaughter, Jayden Anderson.
Mr. Williams was a member of Christ Church Nashville, owned/operated Economy Motors, was passionate about his family, cars, music, camping and fishing.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. A Gathering of Friends will be held from five o’clock in the evening until eight on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 and one hour prior to service time at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions made to Caris Hospice of Rutherford County.
