NEWMAN, Michael Dallas, age 82 of Nashville, TN, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan C. Newman; daughters, Rosemary Maguire (Bob), Rebecca McCloud (Bobby); grandson, Michael Cornett; granddaughters, Jennifer Cornett, Jillian Collins, Emily Harper (Matt); great granddaughter, Marianne Harper, all of Nashville. sister, Sis Cassell (Sam) of Wytheville, VA; brother-in-law, Gerald Copenhaver of Wytheville, VA and sister-in-law, Helen Newman, Wytheville, VA. Mr. Newman was born September 5, 1929 in Rural Retreat, Virginia. He was an active member of Crievewood United Methodist Church and the owner of Newman’s Auto Repair in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Peter van Eys officiating.
