Louis Michael (Mike) Wheatley of Antioch, Tennessee passed away on October 4th, 2021 at the age of 74. Mike was born on April 20th, 1947 in Queens, New York and resided in Memphis, Tennessee during his childhood. After serving in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years, Mike began working for CSX Transportation as a railroad conductor in 1970. He worked for CSX for 44 years until his retirement in 2014. In his spare time, he loved attending sporting events of all kinds, especially the Tennessee Vols. He also enjoyed attending the bluegrass festival each year, along with spending time with family and friends while creating memories with his camera. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Louis Monroe Wheatley and Patricia Osborne Wheatley. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Wheatley, daughter Amanda Kee (John), grandson Logan Kee, granddaughter Tenley Kee, brother Neil Wheatley, brother Patrick Wheatley, and many friends.
Visitation will be held at the Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Ln Nashville, TN 37204 on Sunday, October 9th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 1:00pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
