She attended North High School and met her future husband,Thomas Noah Smith, while working at Model Laundry. They married in 1951 and enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Together they owned and operated Smitty's Appliance Service for over 25 years.
Known for her strength and determination, she was the person to get the job done. She had a servant's heart and always put family and friends before herself. She was a keen homemaker and dutiful caregiver to her family, friends, and neighbors. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and embroidery.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, John Mack and Martha Crook; siblings, Lillian, Clara Mai, Harold, and Everett; and her husband, Thomas Noah, and son-in-law, Frank. She is survived by daughters, Kathy, Shirley (Johnny), and Patricia; step-daughter, Christa (Franz); grandsons, Daniel, Gary (Cindy), and Tyler (Debbie); two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be having a private service at a later date.
