Murrey Pollard Tulloss Jr. (1926 – 2014) passed away March 7th after a long illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Murrey Pollard and Ethel Jenkins Tulloss, sisters Mary Elizabeth and Martha Murrey Tulloss, and brothers Sherwood Scott and Robert Lafayette Tulloss. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn Juanita “Nita” Fykes Tulloss, 2 sons, Murrey Pollard III (Monica) and Michael Byron, 2 grandchildren, Jonathan David and Phoebe Elizabeth, and many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews. He served his country in the Navy in both World War II and the Korean conflict, attended Franklin High School and Tennessee Technological University, and was a longtime member of Belmont United Methodist Church. He formed M.P. Tulloss Service Company on April 1, 1965, and performed air conditioning, heating, plumbing and electrical work for many Nashville landmark businesses. He was a longstanding member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society for over 50 years and served as its president in 1965. Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, March 14th at two thirty in the afternoon at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, visitation with family and friends Thursday from four o’clock until eight o’clock, and Friday from twelve thirty until service time at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
