I have had the pleasure of working directly under Paul for 14 years , he was amazing. One of the most dedicated and prepared bosses I have had. He also expected that from others and made us all better individuals.  He delighted in company trips always making sure each rep has the opportunity to do something they enjoyed.  I truly enjoyed some of our very long days in meetings because of his cleverness and witty tactics.  Paul also went out of his way to make anyone he thought was less fortunate feel important, I  witnessed this many times with him, a true gentleman.  Megan and Bennet ... we grieve with you and will pray for peace and comfort in the months to come. 

I wish I could have been there today to honor Paul.  
He was pretty much a brother to me and as tough as he could be at Horizon, he was as equally kind hearted and respectful.
Meagan and Bennett.....I know you don't know me, but your dad was such an amazingly strong, hard headed, softy  with a "side of quick wit" and that is how I will always remember him.
My heart is with you while you grieve him.

Our deepest condolences Meagan and Bennett, a great loss. Our heart aches for you all. My son Brandon and I met Paul 3 years ago at our neighborhood pool, we would wave and say hi. Last summer as my son said “best summer ever “ and boy was he right, it was great and special in every way. We really got to know your Dad and formed a great friendship. He was so kind to us both and on occasion bring Brandon a hat or something. We finally got him involved in our weekend beach volleyball fun and the laughs we all had  I will always cherish. Paul was generous and kind, and the pool won’t be the same without him. I remember him talking about your Florida trip back in October, he loved you both so much. May God keep his hands on you both and know we will be praying for you both. God bless Paul, we will miss you.  Judy&Brandon 

I had the pleasure with working with Paul at Empire . What a great guy with a great  sense of humor ,I loved cutting up with him , he could always make me laugh . He will be greatly missed by all of us at Empire .

Meagan and Bennett, Al and I are so sorry for your loss.  Your Dad was a very special friend.  We met “that guy sitting  at the corner table at the pool” many summers ago and he was just our “summer friend” until a few years ago when we really got to know him and enjoy his friendship year round.  One Sunday afternoon , Al moved his towel to Paul’s table to get to know him better. Before long Paul called my name and said, ”Kim Crawford is calling for you Paula”.   He had a glass of wine for me and from that day on, he always asked me if I wanted some “Kim “  I loved listening to him talk about his trips to Key West.  Jimmy Buffett music, the beach and Kim Crawford wine will alway remind me of our wonderful friend Paul.   He will be truly missed.  Rest In Peace sweet friend. 

Paul was a mentor and friend to me and so many others in the beverage industry.   He was Very well respected and great at leading people.  He picked at me often,  which I always enjoyed,  because I knew he was doing it because he liked me.   His nickname for me was 10cent,  a story for another time.   I will miss Paul and our conversations, he was extremely clever and witty.   Rest Easy Paul, and God Bless. 

I met Paul shortly after my momma died around 5 years ago. He started as a customer and very quickly became my family. He always told everyone I was his daughter. We shared a love for Alabama football. He joined me and my other half at our home for not only football games, but also Thanksgiving one year and just get togethers we would have on occasions. His laughter, smile, spontaneity, and love for life will always be remembered. Moving away from Nashville 2 years ago back to cookeville, Paul continued to keep in touch with me which meant the world to me. From random beach trip pics to football season Roll Tide texts, I’ll forever cherish. Until we meet again, Paulie. Roll Tide and Love you big. 

I was 13 when Paul was born, so I couldn’t wait to help my mom take care of him. He was my real baby doll, and I was his “Dee Dee”.  I fed him, took him for walks in the stroller, babysat, and everything else that goes with loving a new little gift from God. We both grew up and moved away,  went to college, got married, and had our own babies. Throughout our separate journeys, we maintained contact and shared the ups and downs of our life experiences with each other. I have always had the utmost respect for the man that he became. His intelligence, humor, dedication, and his love will be missed by so many of us until we can see and be together again. He will forever be in my heart.

I didn’t know Paul, but have a sense of what a wonderful man and father he was because he helped raise an amazing daughter.  Meagan and I laughed when she told me about the Dave Ramsey books her dad gifted her even though she is the poster child for fiscal responsibility. It often takes a fantastic human to raise one and Paul certainly succeeded. I am confident he will continue to watch over his children and family until they meet again.
