

Ralph lived a life marked by resilience, compassion, and dedication. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 34 1/2 years, finding strength in his journey and joy in sharing his 34-year chip with those around him. Ralph had a diverse range of passions including cars, Legos, puzzles, and construction projects. Known for his helpful nature, he was always ready to lend a hand to his neighbors and loved ones.
Sports, particularly baseball, held a special place in Ralph's heart, reflecting his love for competition and camaraderie. He took immense pride in his granddaughter, Shelby, celebrating her accomplishments with unwavering support and affection. Ralph cherished quiet moments in his man cave, surrounded by his pets, finding solace and contentment in their company.
A veteran himself, Ralph enjoyed attending military meetings where he connected with fellow servicemen, sharing stories and camaraderie. Ralph loved being in the Navy as a Pilot flying the P3 Orion, with the “Blue Geese” VP 22. Squadron. He was a dedicated member of Wellspring Christian Church, known fondly by his nickname "Fireball," a testament to his lively spirit and warm presence among his church community.
Ralph was preceded in death by his son, Clay Hardin, and his brother, Charles Hardin. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Hardin, his son Kyle Hardin and wife Michelle, his sister Mary Hardin Thornton and husband Clinton, his cherished granddaughter Shelby Hardin, his daughter-in-law Jennifer Hardin, his nephew Matt Hardin and wife Janet, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Ralph Perry Hardin will be remembered for his kindness, his resilience, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a community that will dearly miss his presence but will forever hold him in their hearts.
A visitation to celebrate Ralph Perry Hardin's life will be held July 8, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with the service to follow at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204.
