

He is survived by his wife Pamela Jeanne Chilton, son, Robert Henry Chilton IV, daughters, Courtenay Chilton Cline (Chad), and Lauren Rickenbacher Ross (Jackson), as well as his grandchildren Robert Chilton, Ashley Chilton, Caroline Cline, Chase Cline, Harrison Cline, Hudson Ross, and Lock Ross.
Bobby attended Julia Green Elementary, Montgomery Bell Academy, Peabody Demonstration School, and Memphis State University. He was a member of Alpha Chi fraternity.
Beginning his career running a chain of family owned auto parts stores, he later served as President and Owner of Chilton Air Cooled Engines and Industrial Machine & Tool Company. He was also a member of and served on the Diaconate of First Presbyterian Church.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his quick wit, his smile, his laugh, and for being a great host and the life of the party. Bobby also had a love for music and dancing, as well as for his best buddy and his puppy, Mick.
Honorary pall bearers will be Chad Cline, Jackson Ross, Dr. Bill Dutton, Bill McPherson, Bob Hardison, Joseph Binkley Jr., Allen Lentz, Dr. Harrison Shull Jr., Hank Seaton, Roy Williamson, Mike Tidwell, O. B. Thomason, Brad Thomason, Porter Maxwell and the employees of Industrial Machine & Tool Company.
Visitation will be held Thursday March 3rd from 5pm-7pm and Friday March 4th from 12pm-1pm in Courtenay Hall at First Presbyterian Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held following the visitation Friday March 4th at 1:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church. Private entombment services will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers please make all donations to First Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
