Robert Vance Milligan was born in Nashville, TN, on March 9th, 1938, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and family at the age of 78 on April 16, 2016. Preceded in death by his son, Robert Junior; and his parents, Olive and Jack Milligan. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce, of 58 years; daughters, Robin (Joe) Dick, Mary Ann (Robbie) White, and Donna Barnes; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings Beverly (Jerry) Tappan, Mary (Tony Derzco) Day, and Doug (Kathy Hargrave) Milligan. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy and served his community as a Metro Police helicopter pilot for 33 years, retiring from the force as a Lieutenant. He was a member of the Nashville/Boswell HOG Chapter. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Monday, April 18, 2016, from four to eight o’clock in the evening, with graveside service on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at ten o’clock in the morning.
