WHITCOMB, III, Robert Lovejoy, was born in 1949 and died Monday May 2nd at home. He was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church where he was very proud to be an usher for church services. His Hearty greetings were enjoyed by everyone he met. He enjoyed preparing coffee for his Seekers Sunday School class. His church was very important to Robert and church members appreciated him. He was preceded in death by parents Robert Whitcomb Jr & Dorothy Marie (Whiting) Whitcomb and his sister Martha Jane (Whitcomb) Ward. He is survived by his sister Emily Whitcomb, his nieces, Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva, Amy Brown, Laura Harris, Rachel Ward and Arianna Ward and their families and his beloved cat “Sugar.” Services and visitation will be held at Belmont United Methodist Church 2007 Acklen Ave. Nashville Friday. Visitation from 1:30-3:00, memorial service following at 3:00pm.
