Roberta Alexandra “Lexie” Osgood of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away tragically in a car accident on April 23, 2025. Born on January 20, 1995, to Lynn and Byron Osgood, Lexie brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning.
Lexie is survived by her brother, Bo Osgood; her beloved dogs, Jonesi, Chance, and Remi; her grandmother, Roberta Witherspoon; her aunts and uncles, Dixon Witherspoon (Wanda), John Witherspoon IV (Leigh), and Betsy Bean; and her cousins, Jim Witherspoon (Amy), Taylor Schipani (Matthew), Anna Witherspoon, John Witherspoon V, and Addie Bean. She also leaves behind a wide circle of friends who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Witherspoon Jr. and Floyd Osgood Sr., and her grandmother, Della Osgood.
Raised in Nashville, Lexie was a proud graduate of Harpeth Hall, where she remained wholeheartedly involved - giving back through alumni events and participating in Career Day mentorships. She earned her finance degree from the College of Charleston, and in 2017 Lexie joined Regions Bank in Nashville. There, she quickly rose through the ranks, first as a team lead at the Abbott Martin location, later managing both the Green Hills and Abbott Martin branches, and most recently serving as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Music Row branch. She adored her clients and coworkers and treated them like family, always greeting them by name with a huge smile.
Fiercely devoted to others, Lexie thrived in roles where she could make a difference - whether teaching financial literacy classes, volunteering with the Weaver Domestic Violence Center and Second Harvest, supporting United Way, or rescuing and fostering animals. Her generosity extended beyond volunteer work: She even opened her home to those in crisis. Always, Lexie lived by the belief that kindness could change lives.
Lexie loved Alabama football, trips to the beach, and the simple joy of time spent with her dogs. But the most important part of Lexie’s life was family. She always said her mom was her best friend. As such, Lexie became part of Lynn’s high school crew, her Bama KD sisters, and the Private Edition family. She adored happy hours with her grandparents, trips with the entire family, and watching Hallmark movies, The Bachelor, and Extreme Home Makeover with her family. In truth, if you were a part of Lexie’s life, then she loved you like family. Her love was raw, pure and loyal (even when she was telling you exactly what she thought).
Lexie lived with compassion, energy, and a heart as big as her smile and she had so much more life to live. Lexie’s absence is deeply felt, but her legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on through all the lives she touched.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Cheek House at First Presbyterian Church of Nashville., 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville TN 37220 with a 3:00 p.m. service to follow in the Sanctuary.
