

Roy married his beloved wife, Donna Tidwell, on April 29, 2009, at the River Church in Nashville, TN. Together, they shared a life full of love, devotion, and a deep commitment to God. Roy was known for his sweet, kind, and humble nature. He was a loving husband who trusted in the Lord and was always generous, often going out of his way to help others. His love for his wife and his passion for serving God were central to his life. Roy enjoyed taking walks with Donna and treasured their time together.
Roy’s work ethic was unmatched. He was a dedicated man who loved working and could never be convinced to stop. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family and faith. He was an usher at his church, where his quiet strength and generosity left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Donna Tidwell; his son, Travis Tidwell; his sister, Odessa Norvell; and his two brothers, Gerald Tidwell and Thomas Tidwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Morris Wayne Tidwell, Benjamin Tidwell and Douglas Tidwell; and two sisters, Geneva Pack and Annie Ruth Tidwell.
A service to celebrate Roy’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Roy’s legacy of love, faith, and service will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
