Sally was a faithful Christian. She graduated from East Nashville High School in 1950 and was a star basketball player. She loved most sports, and although she lived in Miami, FL; Franklin/Dayton, OH; and St. Augustine, FL; she stayed an avid TN Volunteers fan—especially of the Lady Vols basketball team. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, no matter what the activity.
She loved visiting friends, traveling, playing cards and games, and helping people in need. She was a kind, loving soul and will be sorely missed.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 160 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
As the immediate family is coming from out of town, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please give an extra contribution to your church family, make a donation to your favorite charity, or to Riverside Cottages at the Shores, 471 Shores Blvd., St. Augustine, FL 32086, where she received excellent care the last 4 years of her life.
