Sarah Joyce Vickery

Sarah Joyce Vickery, age 82, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on January 9, 2026. She was a resident of NHC Hendersonville nursing home where she was loved and appreciated by her medical caretakers.

Sarah was born to Bruce and Mattielynn Vickery May 30, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee. Sarah, or Joycie, as she was affectionately called by her family and close friends, was the youngest of four children. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Lee Vickery, and sisters, Nancy MacDonald and Lynn Patton. She attended Cohn High School in West Nashville and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

After owning a jewelry business she dedicated her career to Dale Supply, working in the HVAC distribution industry, where she was known for her commitment and strong work ethic.

Sarah had a deep love for all domestic animals, especially cats. Zsa Zsa and Lightning were her favorites. She also enjoyed gardening and took pride in caring for her plants and outdoor spaces.

Sarah was not married. She is survived by her nephews, Philip Vickery, Gary MacDonald, and Gerald MacDonald; her niece, Denise Taylor; her sister-in-law, Mildred Vickery and brother-in-law, Pat Patton.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
