Our Beloved Mother, Shirley Ann Smith 80 passed away peacefully on February 8, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1934, in Nashville Tennessee. She was a proud military wife and traveled the world with her husband and family. Shirley was an artist, a shopper, pianist, an amazing cook, a reader, a devout Catholic and the best grandma in the world. She was a member of several organizations throughout her life including the daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her daughter Catherine (Jim) Bode, son Richard Jr. (Connie) Smith, and daughter Donna Smith; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Shirley is proceeded in death by her husband Colonel Richard Smith Sr., and grandson Sean Edmondson. The viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 PM on Friday February 16, 2024 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Mount Olivet funeral home 1101 Lebanon Rd, Nashville Tennessee 37210. Internment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
