Solon Glenn Thompson met Jesus on December 16, 2019, at the age of 71 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leona and Delmar, and his brother, Sonny. He is survived by sister MaDonna and brother Dewayne, nieces Amie and Lauren, and grandnieces Anastasia and Gabrielle.
A longtime Nashville resident, he attended Restoration Church where he was well loved by the entire congregation, particularly those serving alongside him in the children’s and men’s ministries. He also ministered to countless patients as an assistant physical therapist with Amedisys Home Health. He was always proud to have Lee College, now Lee University, as his alma mater, having graduated with a degree in business in 1972.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, December 17, with a funeral service to follow on Wednesday at 11:30 also at Woodlawn. Serving as pallbearers will be Amie and David Wilson, Lauren and Kurt Soucy, James Schlosser, and Brian Waugh. Graveside services will be at Mountain View Cemetery in McMinnville, Tennessee, at 2:30 pm
