Tommie Sue was born on April 24th 1952 to Thomas E. and Bessie Mai Harris, in Nashville TN. She had multiple careers including hairdresser and phone operator, but retired from Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an Access Specialist.
For most of her life, Tommie Sue lived in the suburbs of Nashville and was an active member of all churches she attended. After losing her long-time love, Truman Flatt, Tommie Sue moved to Crossville TN to be close to her brother, James, sister-in-law, Brigitte and her nieces and nephew.
Tommie Sue was predeceased by her parents, brother and a long list of aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by sister-in-law, Brigitte, who she always called 'Sis', her niece Mickey Nail, nephew, Thomas McKinstry, niece, Maria McKinstry and many great nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on February 13th 2026 at 12:30. If you would like to make a donation in her memory, the family suggests making a donation to a local pet shelter. Tommie Sue always had a soft spot for all cats and dogs.
