Wade Hampton Jenkins, Jr. suddenly passed from this earth into the hands of our Lord on Friday, July 4, 2025, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was 78 years old. Born in South Carolina, he always considered Nashville his home. Wade graduated from Dupont High school in Nashville, obtained an associate's degree at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington, and proudly served as a diver in the Navy during the Vietnam war. Wade's special loves were traveling, his pets, bright clothes, all kinds of hats and jokes. He was a big, strong, fiery man with a huge heart and an unending love for his family (including his little dog, Mocha) and country. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Roberts) Jenkins; his daughter, Bonnie Kelley, and daughter-in-law, Christy Kelley; his sister, Rita Reames and brother-in-law, Ed Reames; his brother-in-law, Ken (McKenzie) Roberts, and sister-in-law, Leda Roberts; and brother-in-law, Keith Roberts, and sister-in-law, Karen Roberts. The family will have a private, graveside service and a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
