He was married to his loving wife Denise on July 21, 1976. Walter had a career as a Aircraft Inspector for the company Vought. He loved to watch UT Football games and took as many trips as he could down to Knoxville. Walter was apart of the National Guard after he graduated from Hillwood High School.
Walter was survived by his wife Denise Cotton; son, Jason (Cayce) Couser and granddaughter Jayla Couser.
He is preceded in death by brother Everett Baxter Cotton Jr. and sister Charlene Cullop.
A graveside service for Walter will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
