Born on February 20, 1943, in Nashville, Wanda was a proud and lifelong Tennessean. She was the Matriarch who brought everyone together, especially during the holidays, which were always spent in the warmth of her home. Her house was more than just a gathering place, it was a sanctuary filled with laughter, love, and home cooked meals. Her strength and kindness were the foundation of her family.
Wanda spent countless hours “piddling in her garden” and tending to her flowers and plants. She was also an avid reader, always with a book nearby and a quiet moment to enjoy it. One of her greatest companions was her beloved, Ivy Tootie Rose. Ivy was more than a pet, she was family, a constant friend, and a true source of comfort and joy. Wanda will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Wanda is preceded in death by her loving parents, Albert and Pauline Decker, Sister and Brother-in-law, Judy Faye (Ray) Pardue.
