
Mr. Applebaum was born in Toledo, Ohio, and graduated from Scott High School in 1963. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Toledo in 1969.
He married wife of 46 years, Victoria, in 1968 — and they lived together in Sylvania, Ohio, where Mr. Applebaum worked as a self-employed Certified Public Account. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather — and enjoyed spending every free moment with his family.
Mr. Applebaum is survived by his wife, Victoria; daughters Amy Ritchart (Michael), Clarksville, Tenn., Karen Kammer (Jeffrey), Brentwood, Tenn., and Debra Kaplan (Kevin), Okemos, Mich.; and, eight grandchildren — the youngest 4 and the oldest 18-years-old.
There will be a graveside service honoring Mr. Applebaum at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at Congregation Micah Cemetery, 2001 Old Hickory Boulevard, Brentwood, Tenn. Arrangements made in Sylvania, Ohio, by Reeb Funeral Home. Arrangements made in Nashville, Tenn., by Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Cherry Street Mission Ministries, 105 17th Street, Toledo, OH, 43604; or, Home Away From Home at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, 2213 Cherry Street, Toledo, OH, 43608.
