William A. Hogue, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013. Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mamie Lou Hogue; siblings, John, Dewitt, Peggy, Mary, Belle, Maude and Albert. He is survived by his son, Ray Hogue; daughter, Dorothy Elaine (Pete) Nickens; granddaughter, Jennifer McCord and great grandson, Michael McCord. William served in the Army during WWII and traveled overseas during his enlistment. Above all, he will be remembered for being a devoted family man. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ruth Copeland Davis for the outstanding care that she provided for William. Visitation will be held from five until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 12th of November, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at two thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 13th of November, in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
