William Henry Maddox age 91 of Nashville passed away on March 28, 2019. He was a veteran serving in the US Army/Paratroopers. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design and was a graduate of Memphis State University with a degree in Art. He then received a Masters of Art from East Tennessee State University. He also was a professor at Sullivan County Community College in the Catskills of New York State and later taught at the University of Maine in Kennebunkport. He was predeceased by his niece Priscilla Evans, and brothers Harry and Warren Maddox. He is survived by his sister Norma Bell and nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Bell, Linda Bell, Kathy Steel, John Maddox, Chris Maddox and Matt Maddox. Visitation with the family will be Sunday March 31 from four o’clock until six o’clock pm. Memorial service will be Monday April 1 at two thirty pm in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Foundation for Geriatric Education (TFGE) NHC Healthcare 216 Fairground Street Franklin, TN 37064
