Winifred Halley’s lifespan accomplishments ranged from riveting airplanes together during World War II to studying interior design. She made beautiful draperies for homes in Nashville in her spare time while raising three sons. She was an accomplished seamstress and was active in the local Doll Club, Dixie Doll-ers. She made beautiful porcelain dolls and designed period dresses for the dolls in her collection. She lived a conservative lifestyle and was devoted to her family and her husband of 76 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Halley and her youngest son, J. Richard Halley.
She is survived by two sons, W. Michael Halley and Harry E. Halley; and three grandchildren: Patrick M. Halley, William David Halley, and Catherine Gennett Halley.
A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at twelve o’clock in the afternoon at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN, 37204.
