Dad was born in the Philippines on March 28, 1943, and grew up in Iba, Zambales. He joined the United States Navy in April 1964, and proudly served our Country for twenty-three years. And while he started his military career as a cook, he diligently worked his way thru the ranks, achieving HMC, Chief Hospital Corpsman. He retired in 1987 and was honorably discharged. Still wanting to serve his Country, he served the Department of Defense as a Logistics Analyst and worked with the Navy Seals at Special Warfare Command.
Not only did Dad serve his Country, but he also served our family. He sponsored our Grandfather, Aunts, and Uncles in the Philippines, bringing them to the United States for opportunities at a better life.
For his children, he worked tirelessly, and ensured they were provided with the foundations with which to build their own successful lives. He was our patriarch, our silent source of strength, and his passing leaves many a broken heart. We all miss him greatly.
