and wife by his side. Robert was born on April 8th, 1946 in San Diego, California. He was a
humorous and kind soul amongst his 8 wonderful siblings and made those around him feel
cared for and accepted. Robert spent most of his life being the most achievable man, he served
in the US air force for 4 great years and was an industrious soldier. He met his wife, Margarita
Rivera in July 1979 and they spent 44 heartfelt and loving years together. During those years,
Robert and Margarita successfully raised 5 wonderful children: Adriana, Vanessa, Jeannette,
Sandra, and Beto. Robert was a patient, loved, and dependable father. He loved each of his
children the same and was always there to support them in any way. No matter how bad the
days were, Robert never stopped working hard. He graduated from nursing school in order to
give his family the best life and saw to it that he be a dad his children can count on. Robert
never backtracked from what he believed in and always helped those in need. For years, Robert
helped those with drug addictions and a history of alcohol abuse. He was a spokesperson for
Alcohol Anonymous meetings throughout San Diego and was looked up to by many people,
along with saving countless lives for years. He was also a great grandfather to his 3

father, husband, and grandfather. The encouraging words, the great laughs, and good times will
live in our hearts forever. His legacy, which was to be strong, positive, and spread that positivity
as much as you can, will continue with us in this journey of life. He will be missed tremendously
and never forgotten.
