Wayne was an admired son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and trusted friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary; daughter, Sonia; and son, Jason.
Wayne retired from General Dynamics-Nassco. During his career at Nassco, Wayne was well respected as he constantly excelled at his position heading the shipwright department and ultimately earned certification as Nassco’s Launch Master.
Wayne was not only smart but was clever with the ability to design and fabricate special tools that would help make Nassco more efficient.
Wayne loved all types of motor sports, especially Nascar Stock Car racing and NHRA racing. He was an accomplished engine builder and was devoted to a local stock car racing team.
He will be greatly missed.
