Anne Bench

It is with profound sadness, but also gratitude, that we announce the passing of Anne, in her 98th year, peacefully on May 24, 2022 at Riverview Health Centre.

Anne was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, William, in 1989. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Bertrand (Rene) and Janice Solomon (Polo), son William (Theresa); six grandchildren, Michael, Cheryl (Jason), Jennifer (Brent), Matthew (Kristin), Allison (Simon) and Eric (Stephanie); seven great granddaughters, Caitlyn, Emma, Griffin, Reese, London, Lennon and Lola; one great grandson, Ozzie, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mom enjoyed a daily drink of scotch, crossword puzzles and a good game of crib. She will be remembered for her wonderful family dinners, great sense of humour, beautiful blue eyes and genuine love and dedication to her family.

Special thank you to the staff on 2C Wing at Riverview Health Centre for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s memory to Riverview Health Centre Foundation or a charity of choice. In accordance with Anne’s wishes, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
