Peacefully, on April 24, 2022, Betty Kowbluk (nee Heuchert) passed away after a short illness.
Left to remember her are her daughter Selina (Mike) and her grandchildren, Emily, Brittany, Ethan, Kayla and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy and twenty nieces and nephews.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Fred, her son Duane, her grandson Bill, her sisters Audrey and Winnie, and her brother Richard.
Betty was born and raised on a farm near Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in the Clavet area. As a young woman she worked in the Dietery Department at City Hospital in Saskatoon until she married in 1959. Fred and Betty ran the Sonningdale Hotel until they had their second child when they moved back to Saskatoon. In 1980 they settled in Winnipeg. Betty worked part time retail until she retired.
The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital for their care and concern over the last months of Betty’s life.
