Dennis Victor Chaboyer

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Victor Chaboyer of Winnipeg, MB, on October 14, 2025, at the young age of 62.

Dennis is survived by his lifelong love, Pat Chaboyer, his daughters Chantal (Jay), Denise, Pamela, and Crystal, and his grandchildren Lillyian, Sofia, Valentina, Lucas, and Josie.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ida and Cyril Chaboyer, and his brothers Benny and Bruce.

Dennis will always be remembered for his unwavering positivity and his gift for finding joy in every day. No matter how tough things got, he always had a smile, a joke, or a story to share. His humour and outlook were contagious; he never missed a chance to brighten someone’s day.

He was a proud husband to Pat, a devoted father to his daughters, and a deeply loving papa to his five grandchildren. His “grand dogs” were never left out either, Grandpa made sure they were spoiled just like the rest of the family.

Dennis had a love for cooking, listening to his favourite music, and spending time outdoors. In his younger years he spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with his dad and brothers. In later years he took pride in gardening and never missed a chance to hop on the riding mower to cut the lawn or head out for a quad ride with his grandchildren.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and generosity. Dennis gave without hesitation, always put others first, and found his greatest joy in making memories with those he loved. His light will live on in the laughter and love he inspired in everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
