Donna Lynn Burch

On July 20th 2026, Donna passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, with a photo of Robbie in her arms, guiding her on her journey to meet him again.

She is survived by her siblings, Jeana, Judy (Shaun), and Dan (Kathy); her daughter Michelle (Allan); and granddaughter Marilynn. Donna is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who became like family.

Donna was born on April 9, 1956, in Winnipeg Manitoba, and was the youngest of her three siblings. In 1975, she had her daughter, Michelle. In 1983, Donna married the love of her life, Robert, and together they built a beautiful life.

For twenty-five years, she worked for Manitoba Public Insurance before retiring in 2012.

Donna cherished her time spent with loved ones, and loved travelling the world. Together, Donna and Rob travelled throughout Canada, the United States, Europe, and South America. Throughout all of these travels, Mexico became their home away from home. Spending countless years across Mexico, the beach quickly became the pair's favourite place. Donna loved Mexico so much that she and her sisters travelled to Puerto Vallarta for the last time in November.

Donna's life was full of love and light. The Burch home was welcoming to all as a space for spending time in good company, sharing drinks and laughter. On Friday nights, Donna and Rob opened their home to friends and family, hosting delicious meals and competitive board-game tournaments lasting late into the night.

Unfortunately, in 2023, Donna was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the news, she approached this diagnosis with grace. After a difficult three-year battle with cancer, Donna has finally found peace and comfort. We know that, at last, she has reunited with the love of her life.

Her family and friends will miss Donna dearly. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Donna Burch will forever feel her absence. We find peace knowing she is no longer in pain and watching over us with Robbie.
