She is survived by her children: Rhonda, Charles (Christine), and Trevor. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Robyn (Trevor), Xander, Tamara (Robbie), Exzavier, Lily and Freya, Colton (Taylor), Tiffany (Clyde), Elise and Ezekiel, and Lauren. As well as her brother Paul (Shirley) Mulla.
She was predeceased by her son Kyle in 2018.
Mom was born in Tyndall, MB and lived most of her life there. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a full life. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, playing cards and travelling, which took her to BC, Hawaii, and Poland to name a few places. She loved to play guitar and sing, which entertained us all for many years. She and Eric along with her band “Misty Rose”, travelled to many Gospel Jamborees and entertained at nursing homes in the area. She loved to cook and bake for her family.
Holiday meals were always filled with favourites; pierogies, cabbage rolls, perisky, apple pie, trifle and texas brownie sheet cake. When she wasn’t baking or travelling, Mom kept herself busy working on puzzle books, watching CSI, playing Super Nintendo, Donkey Kong was her favorite and crocheting - everyone got an afghan or two! She was always kept on her toes by her grandchildren playing endless little pranks - planting all her garden gnomes upside down in her flower garden, leaving the fridge door open just a crack and altering her answering machine recording, to name a few. Even though we teased her, she was always the first one over with a chocolate bar when one of the grandkids were sick.
We would like to thank the staff at East Gate Lodge for all their care and compassion, for which we are very grateful.
Pallbearers are: Colton Nikel, Matthew Mulla, Luke Mulla, Kevin Mulla, Joe Mulla, Fred Carlson.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, Highway #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg.
