It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of Gudrun (Goody) Krista Brockmann on May 2, 2026, at the age of 69. Goody will be lovingly remembered by her sister Lilly and brother-in-law Bill. Goody was predeceased by her parents, Heinrich Ernst Wilhelm (2014) and Eugenie Brockmann (2018), both of Winnipeg.
Goody worked at Manitoba Telephone System starting in 1977 until retiring in 2014. She loved her Sheltie dogs and had many over the years. She was a strong-willed person and when she loved someone, she would love them forever. She made many friendships with the CancerCare nurses who supported her.
Celebration of life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. Hwy #1 east at Navin Road, on Tuesday May 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm with interment to follow. The family would like to express special thanks to family, friends, and staff at both Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Winnipeg.
