

Jean is survived by her sons Bruce (Kathy) and David (Charlene), as well as grandchildren Ryan (Abbey), Scott (Nicole), Jessica Lazaruk, Chantelle (Chad) Chubaty, Mark, Jordan, Steven (Devin), Danielle (Paul), and great-grandchildren Zachary, Jeremy, Gavin, Hailey, Easton, Presley, Raine, and Nixon.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Alfred; parents Nathanial and Jessie Whiteford, granddaughter Kara Lynne, sisters Barbara English and Molly Ross, and brother Bill Whiteford.
Mom’s work life included raising the family and was spent with the Royal Bank, Robert Simpson and Century Flooring where she worked as a stenographer and bookkeeper.
Jean had many interests including her bowling leagues at Coronation Lanes, the many trips she took with Dad across Canada and the United States, and also watching her grandkids’ sporting events. Her biggest enjoyment was being at the cottage that Mom and Dad built at Albert Beach.
She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitch.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff on 3 West at Riverview for the excellent care and compassion during her stay there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinsons Society or Riverview Health Center Foundation.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Green Acres Funeral Home.
