Dad will always be remembered as a loving husband and an outstanding father and grandfather.
After a 37 year career at the CNR as a machinist, dad took early retirement and went on to enjoy life as a snowbird in Arizona. He became an accomplished golfer and developed a passion for lawn bowling, playing summers at Dakota Lawn Bowling and winters at Venture Out in Mesa.
Dad enjoyed a lifelong love of baseball, playing in St. Vital in his younger years and later coaching at Norberry. He was also an avid Blue Jays fan. In his later years he enjoyed playing bridge at Norberry and Vic Wyatt House.
The family extends its sincerest thanks to Riverview Health Centre for their exceptionally compassionate care and support.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Jack to the Arthritis Society of Canada, Riverview Health Centre Foundation, or a charity of one's choice.
