Kathy was born and raised in Winnipeg's River Heights, attending Kelvin high school. She started working for the City of WPG issuing dog and bicycle licenses which blossomed into a 30+ year career through multiple roles and ending as a principal clerk in Water & Waste financial department. During that career she met Michael and they were married on November 5, 1976. Kathy with Mike built a home and moved into North Kildonan where they welcomed their son Michael.

Despite being raised in WInnipeg Kathy grew up at Ottermere at the family's beloved cabin. Countless hours spent in, on, or around the water or just soaking everything in on the veranda and more recently her swing chair. Upon retirement Kathy joined the YMCA to satisfy her love of the water year round and formed many friendships along the way. Throughout her life she was never one to turn down an experience. She loved people, travel, swimming, cooking/baking, playing board/card games, LEGO, and most of all her grandsons. Breakfast at the cabin will never be the same without the efforts she made to make them special.

Kathy will be missed greatly by her family, extended family, friends, coworkers, and anyone who met her along the way.
