It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen on January 14, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital. Kay was born April 12, 1932 in Carman, MB. She was the youngest of 8 children born to John and Lillian Aimoe. Kay was predeceased by her brothers Angus, Johnny, Jimmy, Roy and sisters Edie and Alvina. Kay was also predeceased by Harry’s sister Winnifred & husband Denny, brother Sidney & brother-in-law Leif. Kay is survived by her loving husband Harry of 60 years. Also her daughters Ruth and Arni, Judy and Roy, Cindy, Cathy and Mark. Left to mourn their Grandma are Shauna and Dan, Paul, Melissa and Matt, David and Lesley; great-grandchildren Elijah, Zoe, Shae, Luc, Sydney, Davis and Keanna. Kay is also survived by her brother Barry & wife Lorna, Harry’s family, Kay, Betty, Irene, John & Anne, Pat & Sandy, Mary Anne, Gordon & Cheryl, Bernard & Sheila, David & Jennie, Diane & Gil, Jeff & Sharon & many special cousins, nieces & nephews. Mom cherished the time spent with family & friends at 10 Weaver Bay celebrating Christmas & Sunday dinners with the fine china and white linen tablecloth (although she would be the first to admit that she hated cooking.) She made many new friends after their move to 1750 Pembina Hwy. Her favourite outing was Mother’s Day at Grand Beach, which we were able to enjoy for the last 25 years.
A service to celebrate Kay’s life will be held at Green Acres on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 1 pm. Donations can be made in her name to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
