Maureen Watterson

Maureen Watterson passed away peacefully on Sunday 11, 2026, Deer Lodge Center.

Maureen was born in 1937 on the family farm in Myrtle MB, before moving to the Anola area. The family eventually settled in Winnipeg, and Maureen attended Issac Brock and Daniel McIntyre Schools. After graduation, she attended Success Commercial College.

Maureen worked in the records department at the Manitoba Clinic for 40 years. She was a faithful fan of the Blue Bombers, and watched every game. She loved gardening, petit point, and baking. She also loved to travel, and went to both Scotland and Ireland to connect with extended family.

Maureen enjoyed the last 8 years of her life at the Kiwanis Center in St James, where she made friends, and enjoyed the activities.

Maureen was a gentle soul, and a devoted daughter to her parents Joe and Nettie. She will be missed by her cousins on both sides of her family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Kiwanis Center and Deer Lodge for their care and kindness.
