Maurice Roger Goethals

It is with profound sadness that the family of Maurice Goethals announces his peaceful passing in the morning of May 4th. 2020 at Betel Personal Care Home in Gimli, Manitoba.

Left to mourn his passing are his children: Jeff, Cindy (Cliff) and Chris (Sheri); six grandchildren: Jennifer (Steven), Meghan (Glenn), Ryan (Sarah), Randy, Bradly, and Colby; four great-grandchildren: Wesley, Laura, Jackson and Anastasia; as well as numerous extended family in Canada, Latvia and Belgium.

Mo was born in 1930 to Camille and Suzanne. He was raised in St. Boniface. In 1954, he married the love of his life, Irene. They were happily married for 50 years until her passing in 2005.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Bereznay and Lisa, Gimli Homecare Coordinator Matt McKelvey, and the caring staff at Betel PCH in Gimli.

Special heartfelt thanks to lifelong friends Bryon and Dianne Rosger of Winnipeg Beach for their love and care of our parents.

Private family internment. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
