Michele Albanese

Michele immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada from Molochio, Reggio Calabria, Italy December 22, 1959.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Maria Grazia (Russo) Albanese; his children Rose, and Keith Stone, Connie and Norm Ivison, Pat Albanese, Domenico and Jackie Albanese; his brother Antonia Albanese; his sisters Giuseppina Iorianni, Giovanna De Gola Maria.

He is predeceased by his Mother and Father Pasquale and Rosa Albanese; Brother Carmello (Rocco) Albanese and his sister Immacolata ( Albanese);

his grandchildren Gina, Nicola, Micheal, Victoria, Stephanie, Brittney and Isabella; and two great grandchildren Leah and Ari.

Michele will forever be remembered for his passion of gardening, wine making, and love of Italian song. He enjoyed to socialize and took great pride in hosting many get-togethers with family and friends alongside his wife.

We’d like to take the time to thank the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for keeping Michele comfortable during his final days.

Also a thank you to the Maples Care during the last four years for his comfort and care.

A special thanks to Father Sam Argenziano for his visit and blessing.

Pallbearers will be Frank Albanese, Pasquale Albanese, Aldo Albanese, Mark Russo, Frank Carnevale and Carlos Encarnacao.

Viewing will take place Wednesday, November 18, 10:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue.

Entombment will follow at Holy Angel Mausoleum, Hwy 1 E. at Navin Road.

In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
