To Millie's family - I first met Millie when I moved back to the city and joined the Riverside Lions Club. At my first meeting, she greeted me like a long lost friend and made me feel welcome. On several occasions I drove Millie home after meetings and we had excellent discussions about Lionism in general. I thoroughly enjoined her company and her sage advice. My wife Eileen and I extend our deepest condolences during this trying time.

I am at a loss for words to express my sincere condolences on the loss of your mother. I have so many great memories of the time I spent together with her and all of you at 74 Springside. Celebrations, laughter and thought-provoking conversations are what I will carry with me as I remember her. She always spoke with great pride of each of her children and grandchildren. She was a remarkable woman who led a remarkable life! I am sad to know that she is "missing from us". With time, may your tears be replaced with smiles of the times spent with your mother. I am sorry that Heather and I will not be able to participate in your mother's Celebration of Life; we are out of province until August 28. Love and hugs to each of you as you move through these sad days of goodbye. Gerald

Condolences to the family. I was amazed at her persistence in walking the neighbourhood with Zabel even when it had to be a real struggle. Millie was a remarkable woman and a good neighbour.
