Mildred Pearl Desmedt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred (Mel) Pearl Desmedt ( nee Labossiere). She passed away peacefully on Friday November 16, 2012 at the age of 83 at the Victoria General Hospital.

Mildred was born on September 29th, 1929 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, predeceased by her parents Violet and Philias Labossiere and stillborn son Michael. She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Gord), Carol (Gary) four grandchildren, Christopher (Racyne), Jenifer (Mitch), Michelle (Tyson), Michael, and two great grandchildren Alexandra, and Jamie. She will also be missed by her brothers Gerry, Norm (Doreen), Gord (Claire), Bob (Judy) and sister in laws Pat, and Lydia. Mildred was predeceased by her beloved husband Laurent, great grandson Terrance (Little bean) and three brothers, Wilfred, Richard, and Edmond. Mom will be sadly missed by all who knew her for her gentle, caring spirit and kindness to everyone she came in contact with.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Victoria Hospital( fourth floor) for their loving care and compassion.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM, Green Acres Funeral Home on HWY #1 East at Navin Rd. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Mildred's memory.
