Part 2 - from Larry Peacey 
    The other one I'll relate to you was when Polly and I were visiting. She had to go to work at Eaton's, I offered her a ride in my car, she looked at her watch and said calmly, well I'm running late, and rather  than take a bus, I should drive her. All was fine, nice  conversation on the way. I had installed a new muffler on my 65 Ford that morning but didn't have a bracket to secure it properly, so I used wire and tied it up. Going down Donald to cross Portage I hit a bump, and the wire let go, the muffler hit the pavement and was sparking and hitting the pavement like a tank on pavement. I pulled up to the Donald entrance to Eaton's, smoke coming from underneath, there where about 15/20 people at the bus stop by the entrance, Pauline had a hood on the coat she was wearing, promptly pulled it over her head, ducked her head down and scurried into work. As many times after, I offered her a ride, she graciously declined, I remember it well.   

     She was the best! About 2 months ago she was talking to Polly on speaker phone, I happened to go by and said “How you doing Old Girl!” Her response was almost immediate, “What do you mean Old Girl, You,,, You,,, Old Mister Grey Hair”, we both laughed, it was funny.


     Pauline, will be remembered for her whole life on earth, and carries on in the lap of God, her suffering is over, and The Lord Above Will Take Care Of her.

Part 1   
  This message is from Pauline's son in law, Larry Peacey, married to Pauline's daughter Polly.
     Pauline's passing saddens many people at 96 years old, but should be taken as a better offering for her, as she was suffering when the end came.
     She was a Great Lady, always there for everyone in the family. She is one of the most intelligent women I've ever met, albeit her meagre education and schooling, she was so intelligent and caring.
     She raised 7 children, with Husband George working so hard to keep food on the table, clothes, schooling, and any extra things that might come to be looked after. The children were always safe and looked after, all were introduced to the Catholic faith, and far better for it in their later years.
     Besides her children, she had Grand children, Great Grand children, and even Great Great Grand children, and loved them all.
     I was welcomed into the family when Polly and I decided to get married, she treated me as one of her own, and often called me Son, which brings me pause, and reflect on that statement with love and appreciation/affection.
     Her sense of humour was infectious, when she said something funny, or laughed everyone had a smile or burst into laughter, she was always ready to give or take a little ribbing and throw it back at you. Her smile and laughter was embodied on everyone.
     I'll now relay 2 humorous times spent with Pauline.
     We used to go to Bingo on Tuesday night, myself, Polly, and Pauline. She would pick her cards looking for certain numbers. Pauline played 12 cards, Polly and I 6 each. While we played, you could see she was pro at this game. She would prompt me periodically that I missed O68, or B4, and Polly also sometimes,  In reality, she was playing 24 cards, and mine were upside down on the other side of the table. She was a pro at Bingo, and actually had some nice wins.
   

I remember Pauline and her family coming to stay with us after they moved to Winnipeg. As a little girl I always loved her style. She was a great dresser and a very elegant woman. I reconnected with her family recently on Facebook. I wanted so much to see her as with everything, Covid got in the way and prevented me from doing that. My deepest condolences to Pauline’s family.
