It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Reine Nesbitt, age 91 at Grace Hospice.
Reine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Cheryl Sarvis (Gord), son Wayne Nesbitt (Gail) as well as her grandchildren, Robert, Leanne, Steven and Sarah; and her sister in-law Jeanette Therrien.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert, parents Alphonse Therrien and Doralice Marcoux,
sisters Florence Therrien, Lea Congram, Imelda Perreault and brother Guy Therrien.
Reine was born in Lorette, Manitoba. During her life she had various jobs, but mostly at
Manitoba Telephone System where she worked as a paralegal for 19 years before retiring in 1987.
On November 26, 1955 she married Robert in Winnipeg on Grey Cup day. She was an excellent baker and like her sisters, she always ensured that her home was immaculate and well organized.
Her happiest times were at the cottage at Baie St Paul, Manitoba. Robert and Reine spent a lot of their time gardening and caring for their yard. She loved to walk and watch her favourite sports on tv. She loved her music, the theatre and Broadway musicals.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date (to be determined).
Flowers gratefully declined.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and healthcare aids at Riverview Palliative Care Centre and Grace Hospice.
Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
